Right outside the San Luis Obispo Airport. Plane and pilot architecture all over. Outside seating overlooking the airport and runway, but I chose to sit inside on kind of a sweltering day. Very friendly staff, great ambience and good food. I had a Pastrami Sandwich with Homemade Potato Chips, terrific. Loads of meat spiced perfectly. Marble Rye bread was delicious.

The ambiance decor with the nearby airplanes creates the excitement of traveling in a casual dining experience. However, this place can be noisy or very loud while an aircraft is taking off or landing. Especially, when you are having a conversation with someone. This airport restaurant mainly offers breakfast, burgers, and sandwiches. Since it is just next to the airport it might be busy sometimes. The price is also a little higher than regular restaurants. However, the runway view is something you cannot get at other places.

First time coming here. Flew in from Van Nuys. The transient parking is right at the base of the tower and the restaurant is a 2 minute walk at most. The gate will take you up to the ramp. I got the patty melt, great, lots of fries. Service was fast and friendly. Someone from the restaurant has to let you out to your airplane as they don’t give you the code to get out the gate.
